We booked to stay at the Ramada Encore as we used to stay in the Ramada Leicester before it changed to a Mercure. The price was a bargain at around £120 for a 2 night stay - although this didn't involve breakfast. Initially upon arrival they gave us key cards for a room on the 5th floor. Upon trying them they were wrong. Being 7 months pregnant I waited for my husband to go down and sort it out. We'd actually been allocated a room on the 3rd floor. The room was a disabled room. This meant that it was very spacious but the bathroom left much to be desired. Part of the glass wall panels had been removed from the wall which left the bare plaster on display. There was also no bath which was disappointing but possibly expected in a budget hotel but when my husband phoned reception to query the room no alternative was offered. There was nothing of the Ramada quality I'd come to expect which was disappointing. Only tea and coffee were in the room and there was no decaf option. The room was clean and serviceable but we were woken by the return of people from nights out as we were the first room on the corridor. E would stay again possibly but I feel other budget hotels may come in cheaper than this. I booked ramada expecting some quality not an unfinished bathroom and minimal amenities. We might try somewhere else next time. Stayed July 2015, travelled as a couple
